MAINE MAPLE SUNDAY
On March 22, 2009 we hosted our 4th Annual Maine Maple Sunday. It was an absolute glorious day, kicked off with a wonderful Kids' Maple Fun Run with around 60 runners/walkers! We had also wonderful music again and a circle dance from our dear friends Jon Archer, Irene Cortese, Gary Bushee, Carl Karush along with others, storytelling from several wonderful folks -- including our father Tony Godino, and face painting by Mix & Match 4H dairy goat club. All of this plus of course the very adorable goat kids to meet and pet, Sunny our Great Pyrenees and other farm critters AND all kinds of maple everything samples to taste and indulge in -- the best after maple syrup being the scoops of our vanilla bean gelato drizzled with our Coastal Red maple syrup and topped with an ice cream cone -- yum! You can read more about our previous Maple Sunday Festivities plus see great photos from this years' event on our "In the News" page.
PLEASE NOTE! We will NOT be holding Maple Sunday in 2010, but thank you for all the wonderful memories.
Instead, plan to join us on Saturday, April 24th from 12pm to 4pm for our Spring Open Creamery Day and celebration of Saint George's Day
(complete we hope with the mummer play "Saint George and the Dragon"!)
We'll have many of the same great happenings as Maple Sunday -- tastings, talks and tours, the 3rd Annual "Kids' Fun Run", music, storytelling, dancing and face painting and those cute baby goats -- just without the maple syrup! Also think about visiting us on October 10th for our third annual Fall Open Creamery Day.
Hope to see you on the farm!
